Meet Liya. She is an old soul learning to live a life of purpose. AMMACHIC has always been her aesthetic, her lifestyle, her modus operandi. It comes from a nickname her husband gave her: he combined ammachi, which means grandmother in her native language, with chic.

After over a decade in the fashion industry as a stylist, she co-founded WESTxEAST, a digital design platform for custom cultural garments. AMMACHIC started as a creative outlet, a space to share about her passions, rediscover her roots, and engage in meaningful conversations.
